Friday Reads: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

I have only read three of the seven Harry Potter books in my life and I was very young, at the time. I don’t remember them well and honestly, they never resonated with me. Now that I am nearly thirty, I am noticing more than ever the profound impact they have had on my generation. From podcasts devoted to critical analysis to fellow millennials using Hogwarts houses to identify personality traits, I can’t help but be curious as to what I am missing.

Because of all of this, I have decided to read the entire series. As an adult, I believe that I will be more adept to recognizing themes that I may have dismissed as a child and gaining a better understanding of why my fellow millennials are so connected to the story of the boy wizard. Follow me on Good Reads to read along! I will be posting a reaction and my own pseudo-criticism of each book at random intervals (meaning whenever I finish each one). First up: Harry Potter & The Sorcerer’s Stone.

Why is #HarryPotter a thing with #millenials? I'ma find out!
